About Us

Stoneham Construction Ltd started in 1992 when there was a management buy out from Westridge Construction Company. During the following years we have built up an impressive portfolio of projects. Please view our project pages for a selection.

Stoneham Construction from the start have had an enviable reputation for our performance in construction on the Isle of Wight and southern England. A hands-on approach ensures our clients work with the same team throughout their project, usually including a company Director. Our Project Managers provide the leadership to ensure the supply of resources to keep projects on time and within budget. We operate to ISO9001 management policy.

Stoneham Construction provides detailed method statements and risk assessment and carries full Professional Indemnity insurance. We operate the environmental management system certified to ISO14001

We are committed to being responsible for reducing waste and reducing our carbon footprint; when possible we will recycle, and are very conscious of reducing waste going into landfill. When demolition is required, Stoneham Construction will recycle as much as possible, while this is good for our environment it also helps to keep costs down.

We promote energy efficiency on site as well as in offices and measure our environmental performance regularly.

Stoneham Construction are members of the Isle of Wight Building Safety Association.

We invest heavily in staff training. We continuously review training for our staff, who are all fully committed to on going improvement. We have an apprenticeship scheme, offering places to new entrants into the industry, and are proud of the quality of people we turn out at the end of the scheme. A number of our full time staff started their working life with us in this way and have remained with us for many years.
